Mark Cuban Net Worth $3.5 Billion
Mark was educated at Mount Lebanon High School, and continued his studies at the University of Pittsburgh, then Kelley School of Business, from which he graduated with a degree in business administration. Initially, Cuban worked at Your Business Software company, but after being fired, decided to open his own business. One of Cuban’s first companies was MicroSolutions which specialized in reselling software, so successfully that Cuban went on to sell it for six million dollars, a significant boost to his net worth.
Over the years, Mark Cuban has become known as one of the most popular businessmen. He is currently an owner of Magnolia Pictures, the Dallas Mavericks NBA team, an Internet search engine called Ice Rocket, and the analytical Motion Loft. In addition to owning numerous companies, Cuban launched his own reality series called “The Benefactor” too, which premiered on screens in 2004. Cuban has also collaborated with Mascot Books publishing company, through which he released “Let’s Go, Mavs!” children’s book.
Cuban is also heavily involved in the sports business. In 2003, Cuban made an appearance during the “Survivor Series” wrestling event, hosted WWE Raw show, and co-operated with Vince McMahon to create a new wrestling league. Aside from appearances on Raw, Cuban has been a guest star on “Trust Us with Your Life”, “Dragon’s Den”, “Dallas” and “Colbert Report”.
However, Mark Cuban’s appearances as a judge on “Shark Tank” have built his persona. Created by Dan Purpalaj, the series focuses on aspiring business people, who present their ideas, concepts and products to a panel of investors, referred to as “sharks”, and the panel then makes a decision of whether or not to invest in the product.
Cuban has been featured in other television projects too, such as “Dancing with the Stars”, “Real Time with Bill Maher”, “Bad Teacher” and “The League”, and in addition in 2011 Mark Cuban published a book called “How to Win at the Sport Business”, in which he shared his experiences as a businessman.
Currently, Mark Cuban serves as an owner of the film distributing company “Magnolia Pictures”, the theatre chain “Landmark Theatres” that markets independent films, and the Dallas Mavericks basketball team.

1 | It doesn't matter how many times you fail. All it takes is one and everybody can call you an overnight success, so don't quit because we've all been laughed at. I know I've been laughed at, and my biggest hits have been the ones people thought were most likely to fail. |
2 | [on being approached to fund potential business projects] The list is long, from hair implants to braces, to breast implants. I always get 'I hear that you're worth X amount of dollars, so one tenth of one-percent - you're not going to miss it. Would you just write me a check?' It's fun. It's a good problem to have. |
3 | [A 2007 prediction about what the next big money-maker might be] The one thing I know is the next opportunity won't be on the Internet. It will be a technology that is somewhere else. Some ten-year-old little girl will come up with it, and we'll all wonder how we missed it. |
4 | I hate politics. It's slimy. Any job where people pander for votes I don't like. The country has gotten so partisan that if you're not on my side, you're the enemy. |
5 | [on success] I used to drive around, look at the big houses and imagine what it would be like to live there, and use that as motivation. But I never imagined that would happen to me. I try not to take any of it for granted, and make sure that no one ever pinches me so I wake up. |
6 | [on the one thing he would want to hang on to if he should lose all his money and possessions] Diapers. I have little kids. Everything else I could figure out, but I would need those diapers. |
